v1.8.0

minor

A home-screen widget for your Pokémon collection's value, a Japanese app language, price alerts that finally arrive, and a home screen that catches you up.

v1.8.0

Your collection no longer waits for you to open the app.

New

  • 📊 Home-screen widget — Put your Pokémon collection's value straight on your home screen. It shows what the collection is worth, how it moved over the last 7 days, and how many distinct cards you own, and it can flag the next expansion when one is dropping soon. Tap it to jump into Trends. No notification, no permission prompt — just the number, where you'll actually see it.
  • 🇯🇵 Japanese app language — Scryda now speaks Japanese, its fourth language after English and both Spanish variants. Every screen, not a partial translation, written in native TCG Japanese rather than machine-translated card jargon. Pick it in Settings.
  • 🏠 A home screen that catches you up — Come back after a week away and Scryda tells you what changed: how your collection moved while you were gone, a recap of what you added this week and what it's worth, and the Pokémon sets landing soon with a countdown. Each card stays out of the way entirely when it has nothing worth saying.
  • 🔔 Optional reminders — A weekly digest of how your collection did, a heads-up when a set you collect is about to release, and a nudge before a collecting streak runs out. All off unless you turn them on, all capped so Scryda can't crowd your notification shade, and all quiet outside sensible hours in your own timezone.

Improvements

  • Streaks that fit how people actually collect — A collecting streak used to need a card added every single day, which is a bar no real collector clears; collecting happens on release days and mail days. Streaks now run on weeks, and everyone starts with two rest weeks banked, so a quiet week is bridged silently instead of wiping out months of progress. Rest weeks replenish as you keep collecting, and they can never be bought.
  • Levels that measure what you do, not what you own — Collector Level had quietly become arithmetic on collection size, where one CSV import could mint dozens of levels. Levels now track activity, achievements pay XP for the first time, and the three badges that rewarded collection value have been retired — they rewarded spending money, which was never the point.
  • A real off switch for progression — Levels, streaks, missions and badges can now be turned down or off entirely in Settings. Choose full, subtle (keeps the numbers, drops the confetti) or off.
  • Recent sold prices are back — Sold-price history in the card and slab lookups had stopped returning results. It's sourced differently now and works again — and when a lookup genuinely fails, Scryda says so instead of showing you an empty list that looks like "no sales."
  • Sharper scanning and steadier prices — Cards that share a name are told apart more reliably, and the overnight price sync now finishes cleanly instead of dropping the tail of the catalog.

Fixes

  • Price alerts now reach you. This is the one to know about. Price alerts have been in Scryda for a while, and for part of that time the job that checks them wasn't running — so an alert you set could never fire. It runs again. Set a target price and Scryda tells you the moment a card crosses it.
  • Stability, layout and performance fixes throughout.

Happy collecting!
