Delete your Scryda account

The short version
- Delete your account from inside the app in a few taps, or by emailing us.
- There is a 7-day grace period where you can change your mind and cancel.
- All personal data is removed; a minimal hashed record is kept for 90 days for fraud prevention.

This page explains how to delete your Scryda account, what personal data is removed, and what minimal information we retain afterwards and for how long. It applies to accounts created on iOS, Android, and any future platform.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Scryda and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion in 7 days.
During the 7-day grace period you can cancel deletion by signing back in and choosing Cancel deletion from the same menu. After 7 days the deletion runs and cannot be reversed.
Delete by email
If you cannot open the app for example, you've uninstalled it or lost access to your device - email privacy@scryda.com from the address registered on your account with the subject "Delete my Scryda account".
We will verify the request, complete the deletion within 30 days, and email you a confirmation when it's done.

When deletion completes, the following data is permanently removed from Scryda's systems:
Profile
Email address, name, username, profile photo, language and preferences, marketing opt-in state.
Collection
Every card in your inventory, every binder, condition notes, custom prices, wishlists, and trade flags.
Scans and AI grading
Card photos you uploaded, AI grading reports, recent scan history, and any associated diagnostic data.
Alerts and activity
Price alerts, watchlists, in-app activity logs, and per-user usage counters.
Authentication
Password hashes, OAuth links to Google or Apple, and all active sessions and refresh tokens.
Subscription state on Scryda
Your Pro or Dealer entitlement on our servers. Note: the underlying purchase history held by Apple or Google is managed in their stores and is not under Scryda's control — to cancel a recurring subscription, do so in the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
What is retained, and for how long
To prevent abuse — fraud, payment chargebacks, and ban evasion — we keep a single minimal record of the deletion event for 90 days after deletion. This record contains only:
- A one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address (the plaintext email itself is not retained).
- An internal anonymised account identifier.
- The subscription tier the account had at deletion (Free, Pro, or Dealer).
- The original account creation date and the deletion timestamp.
This record contains no inventory, no card photos, no profile fields, no usage data, and no payment details. It cannot be used to reconstruct your account. After 90 days it is permanently and automatically deleted.
We may also retain anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be traced back to any individual account.
Third-party processors
Account deletion requests are propagated to the following processors that hold data on Scryda's behalf:
Convex
Your backend data is removed from Convex storage as part of the deletion job.
RevenueCat
Your subscriber record is cleared. The underlying Apple or Google purchase remains in their stores; cancel renewals there if you have an active subscription.
Sentry and PostHog
If you had opted in to crash reporting or analytics, anonymised events tied to your install identifier age out per each provider's retention policy. We do not associate your email with these identifiers.
