v1.9.6

minor

Graded slab lookup that reads the QR code and card art, raw card price checks on the collection scanner, and Pokémon cards in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese scanned properly.

v1.9.6

Two of Scryda's readers had been quietly failing at the one job they exist for. This release fixes what they see.

New

  • 🔍 Slab Lookup reads the whole slab — Point the camera at a graded card and Scryda now reads it the way a person would: the QR code first, because a PSA or TAG code names the exact certificate; then the label text; and if the label is scuffed, tilted or glaring, the card art itself, through the same identification pipeline the collection scanner uses. PSA, CGC, BGS, SGC and TAG slabs come back as the right card, and the value ladder now runs the full 1 to 10 instead of stopping at 8 — a PSA 6 vintage holo finally gets a number of its own rather than "correct me to 8". If the card is wrong, a "Not this card?" row lets you switch prints without rescanning.

  • 💰 Raw Card Lookup on the collection scanner — The camera price check for ungraded cards used to have a reader of its own, and on real phones it read almost nothing: the card sat too small in the frame for the collector number to survive. It now runs on the same crop, OCR and evidence search as a collection scan, so it finds the card as reliably as scanning does. The headline price follows the finish and condition you pick, and when there are enough recent sales for that finish and condition, it quotes their median instead of an estimate.

  • 🃏 Three more games, coming soon — One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! now appear in the game picker, marked Coming Soon. The scanners for all three are built; their card catalogs land in a later update, and each game unlocks the moment its catalog is live.

Improvements

  • Non-English Pokémon cards scan properly — French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese cards were a third of all scans and were read with an English-only vocabulary, so "Dresseur", "Basis" or "PV 70" routinely became the card's name. The scanner now knows the printed labels in all five languages, and Trainer card names translate as well as Pokémon names do — "Corde Sortie" finds Switch.
  • The collector number survives the capture — On many Android phones the camera picked a still just small enough that the collector number fell under what text recognition can read, and the exact-match rate on those scans was a fraction of the rest. The capture size is now chosen from the guide frame so the number stays legible on every device.
  • Tournament reprints stop winning ties — World Championship Deck and League promo reprints share a card's name and number and were regularly shown above the real card. They now sit below it unless the evidence actually points to them.
  • The review screen asks before it guesses a finish — When a card is priced differently per finish, the review screen flags the row so you confirm which one you hold before it enters your collection. A 1st Edition stamp detected during the scan is carried into the review as well.

Fixes

  • A hand-picked finish no longer sticks to every scan after it. Picking Reverse Holo once used to make it the default for every card that followed, including cards printed years before reverse holos existed. Each copy is now saved with a finish the card actually comes in, and affected collections are repaired.
  • Cards keep their language. Scans of French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese cards were all saved as English. They are saved with their language now.
  • Long batch sessions save every card. Banking a few hundred cards at once could trip an hourly limit partway through, and the tail of the session was lost without a message. The limit now clears any real session.
  • Notifications show Scryda's icon instead of a blank white square on Android.
  • The Trends tab no longer crashes on some Android phones.

Happy collecting!
