The Elite Trainer Box is usually the product most people reach for on launch day, and Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration has two of them: the standard Elite Trainer Box and a Pokémon Center version. Both release September 16, 2026. Here's what's in each, and which one earns the extra packs.

What's in the standard Elite Trainer Box

The standard 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box includes:

  • nine booster packs
  • a full-art promo card featuring Nidorina
  • 65 card sleeves
  • 16 foil Basic Energy cards
  • damage-counter dice and a coin-flip die
  • a plastic coin
  • a sturdy storage box with six dividers
  • a player's guide

That's the usual ETB formula: enough packs to feel like an event, plus the accessories you actually reuse when you build decks. The 65 sleeves and the divided storage box are the parts that outlast the cards you pull.

What the Pokémon Center version changes

The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box keeps every accessory from the standard box but changes two things:

  • 11 booster packs instead of nine
  • two full-art Nidorina promos instead of one, with one of them carrying the Pokémon Center logo

So the trade-off is simple. The Pokémon Center box gets you two extra booster packs and a second, exclusive Nidorina promo. Everything else, from the sleeves and energy to the dice and storage box, is identical.

Which one should you get

If you just want to open packs and the standard box is easy to find, it does the job. The Pokémon Center version makes more sense if you want the exclusive logo promo, or you were going to buy loose packs anyway, since two extra packs offset part of the price gap. Pokémon hasn't published pricing yet, so the final math depends on what each one costs.

One practical note. Sixty-five sleeves and a divided storage box are genuinely useful if you're keeping the set long-term. If you tend to let ETB accessories pile up unused in a drawer, that's less of a selling point, and the decision comes down to packs and promos.

FAQ

How many booster packs are in the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box? Nine in the standard box, and 11 in the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.

What promo card comes in the 30th Celebration ETB? A full-art Nidorina. The Pokémon Center version has two Nidorina promos, one of them with the Pokémon Center logo.

When does it release? September 16, 2026, the same day as the main expansion.

Is the Pokémon Center ETB worth it? It adds two booster packs and an exclusive promo over the standard box. Every other item is the same.

For the rest of the lineup, see the full 30th Celebration product guide, or the Ultra-Premium Collection breakdown if you want the biggest box in the set. Storing what you open? The Pokémon card storage guide covers sleeves and boxes.
